Remembering the Czechoslovaks

Remembering the Czechoslovaks

On the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month… that's when in 1918 the Germans met the Allies near Paris to sign the Armistice ending the fighting of what was by then considered the biggest armed conflict in history. In the English speaking world, the symbolic date of the 11th of November remains observed as Remembrance Day. English broadcasting of Radio Slovakia International observes it too, by speaking about rememberance with the members of the memorial Czechoslovak veteran organization.
