Tribute to the victims of the tragic accident at Zochova bus stop

On Sunday evening (2nd October), a number of students were waiting at Zochova bus stop in Bratislava to get to their dormitories. Unfortunately, five of them spent the last moments of their lives at the bus stop. A speeding drunk driver killed them. Zochova Street is one of the main thoroughfares in Bratislava. The deaths of five students hit the whole of Slovakia. Marek Vojtaššák, 20, and Broňa Božoňová, 21, who were studying at the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport at Comenius University in Bratislava, Natália Hamráková, who was 19 and had started studying at the Faculty of Law at Comenius University, and Richárd, 19, and Sasha, 20, from the Slovak University of Technology, lost their lives. A march in their memory was held at the accident site in their honour. The organisers were the climate organisation Concerned Mothers and the Cyclocoalition. Students of the Academy of Performing Arts organised a commemorative concert in their honour.
