Martin Posch is a researcher from the Institute of History at the Slovak Academy of Sciences who is also working at the Holocaust Documentation Centre in Bratislava. His main research topic is the cooperation between British and Czechoslovak secret services, including Operation Anthropoid conducted by the Slovak resistance operative Jozef Gabcik and his Czech counterpart Jan Kubis. On the occasion of the Victory in Europe day, he explains to foreigners not only the fact why it was for 40 years commemorated on 9 May in Slovakia, but also the sentiments of the majority population after WWII and its attitude to Jewish fellow citizens.
