Mikaela Shiffrin from the USA won the slalom competition of the Women's Alpine Skiing World Cup in Jasná on Sunday. Shiffrin finished 2.36 seconds ahead of Wendy Holdener from Switzerland who placed second. Slovakia's Veronika Veléz-Zuzulová was third, 2.77 seconds behind the winner. Another Slovak skier Petra Vlhová, although third after the first run, ended up in ninth place. The World Cup race program continues on Monday with the giant slalom race, which was rescheduled from Saturday due to bad weather.
