It was historically the first time Slovakia qualified to the European football tournament as an independent country. And at this very premiere, it managed to advance from the group phase of the tournament and be a part of the best 16 teams. According to the head coach, Ján Kozák, as well as all the players, the tournament in France was a great experience.
