Slovak football national team defeated Lithuania 4:0 in the qualification to the 2018 World Cup in Russia, last weekend. Thanks to the win, Slovakia moved ahead of Scotland and its last opponent and will finish 2016 at the 3rd spot in the F-group behind England and Slovenia. The Slovaks dominated throughout the entire match. They led 3:0 after the first half, with forward Adam Nemec, midfielder Juraj Kucka and defenceman and team's captain Martin Škrtel. In the second half, the biggest star of the team Marek Hamšík sealed this score for the game.
