The Slovak alpine skiing team won silver medals in the team event at the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships in St. Moritz, Switzerland, when they lost in the finals to the French team. This historical success was achieved by the skiing quartet consisting of Veronika Velez-Zuzulová, Petra Vlhová, Matej Falát and Andreas Žampa. The final ended up in a draw 2:2 and the victory was decided by the final time, which was better for France by four hundredths of a second. The bronze medal goes to Sweden.
