Looking back to the recently finished IIHF U18 World Championship, hosted by the Slovak towns of Poprad and Spišská Nová Ves, this sporting event exceeded the expectations of many. It was not only because of the results, with young Americans winning gold, or the plucky style of play by the young Slovaks. It was because of the mesmerising atmosphere on the stands. We spoke about it with the organisers as well as to the foreign press covering the event under the Tatra mountains.
