The performance of the "Young Falcons", as Slovakia's U21 football team is known, at the Euro tournament in Poland remains the topic of the day, even after their elimination from the tournament. Doubts occurred among the Slovak football public as to whether the Germans and Italians may have intentionally fixed the score of their mutual match in a way that left the Slovaks out of the semi-finals. One Slovak football fan with doubt in his mind was Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico, who asked UEFA to review the match in question. In an open letter to UEFA President Aleksander Ceferin, Robert Fico explicitly stated that the result of the Italy-Germany match was "a farce."
