The Slovak football team beat Northern Ireland 2:1 in extra time in the EURO 2020 play-off final on Thursday in Belfast. Juraj Kucka and Michal Duris secured the participation in the European championship despite the own goal by Milan Skriniar. Slovakia will play the EURO championship for the second time in the history of the independent Slovak Republic. Their rivals in the E-group will be Poland, Sweden and Spain.
