You may have heard of the so-called "Réti opening". It is the one, that the master chess player and theorist, Richard Réti, used most famously to defeat José Raúl Capablanca, the reigning World Chess Champion, in a game at the 1924 New York tournament. Richard Réti, a world known chess celebrity was born in the town of Pezinok, only 20km away from the Slovak capital Bratislava. In the following minutes, we talk about his chess life as well as chess legacy.
