After the silver medal from the Alpine combined race earlier last week, Slovak skier Petra Vlhová also placed second in the women's slalom on Saturday, at the 2021 FIS Alpine World Ski Championship in Cortina d'Ampezzo, Italy. The Slovak finished second behind Austrian Katharina Liensberger whereas the third place was claimed by US skier Mikaela Shiffrin. "It was a good World Championship, but not perfect because Katharina was too strong and came here in great shape. Two medals are nice though and I'm leaving Cortina happy," stated Vlhová.
