Slovak ice-hockey team has not made it into semi-final of the World Championship in Riga. In their Thursday match, Slovaks lost 1:6 against USA. Tournament scoring leader Slovak Peter Cehlarik commented on the game as disappointing to lose 0:3 in the first period of a match of such an importance. Nevertheless, the team had made it into quarterfinals for the first time in the past 8 years.
