Kánová wins silver in Tokyo

Slovak para table tennis player Alena Kánová won a silver medal after a 0:3 loss against Chinese Süe Ťüan at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games. The Slovak thus won the third medal and first silver for her country at the event after para cyclist Jozef Metelka won gold and bronze. In total Kánová has has one gold, two silvers and two bronzes from 7 paralympics. She has a gold from Sydney 2000, a silver from Beijing 2008 and two bronzes from Athens 2004 and London 2012. In addition to the summer games, Kánová also participated in the winter games, in Sochi 2014 she represented Slovakia in curling.
