Slovak youngest ever Ice Hockey team at World Championship

On Friday, the World Ice Hockey Championship starts in Finland with Slovaks playing against France at the opening match along with a parallel USA-Latvia game. The team is the youngest in the history of the independent Slovak Republic with an average of 24. The Finnish capital Helsinki recollects memories of the last Slovak medal gained at the Ice Hockey World Championship. Back in 2012, Slovaks won silver in the game against Russia, which will not participate in the event ten years later. Defending the title of the World Champion in 2022 is Canada. The Slovak team featuring young stars such as Slafkovsky, Regenda, Nemec, Lantosi or Tatar will be coached by Craig Ramsay.
