One of the topics that has been making media headlines in Slovakia for several days now is the stance of the Slovak ice hockey federation towards players active in the Kontinental Hockey League. Last week, Hockey Slovakia announced that they see no legal problem with Slovak players in the Russian KHL also playing for the national team. This decision is highly criticized by Slovak sports media, some of which refuse to report on KHL results.
