From the 2023/2024 season, Slovak hockey prodigy Nela Lopusanova will study and play in the USA. She will start high school in Bishop Kearney in August and will also play for the local U19 team BK Selects U19. Nela Lopusanova, who celebrated her 15th birthday on 26 February, shone in various competitions as well as on the international stage. This season she won several individual awards at the U18 Women's World Championship, including the tournament's Most Valuable Player award. She also impressed with several spectacular actions and scored a hat-trick against Hungary in her debut for the women's national team at the tournament in Budapest in February.
