The Slovak National Football team won their EURO 2024 qualifying match in Iceland 2-1 on Saturday. Juraj Kucka and substitute Tomas Suslov scored for the Slovak team, while Alfred Finnbogason scored for the home team in the 11th minute. The result leaves Slovakia on seven points after three games and in second place in Group J, behind leader Portugal who have 9 points. Three days on from their valuable 2-1 win in Iceland, Slovakia return to action on Tuesday 20 June in Vaduz, Liechtenstein, where they have a good chance of overcoming the defences of the 2024 European Championship qualifying Group J outsiders. Liechtenstein have lost three qualifying matches so far and have an overall goal differential of 0-13. They have played a total of 71 matches in their quest for a place in the finals, with a record of 5 wins, 9 draws and 57 defeats.
