Slovakia won an important qualifying match for the 2024 European Championship, beating Luxembourg at home zero to one. At the Stade de Luxembourg, substitute Dávid Ďuriš decided on the visitors' triumph in the 77th minute.
Both countries were in the running for second place; Portugal is already through as the first team in Group J. After last night’s win, Slovakia now is five points ahead of Luxembourg. Slovakia still has to play Iceland at home, and Bosnia and Herzegovina away. Both matches will take place in November.
