Slovakis has qualified for next years EURO 2024 in Germany. This will be the 4th major tournament the team has qualified for. Last year things didn’t look so great for the team. The new coach Francesco Calzona came from Italy and got things back on track.
Ben Pascoe sat down for coffee with RTVS sports commentator Martin Kaigl to discuss the Slovak team, their chances in Germany and most importantly how does someone get the dream job of being paid for watching sports.
Martin Skrtel is the former captain of the Slovak national team for whom he earned 104 caps. He also captained Liverpool. He talked with Ben Pascoe about why the team has been successful and how the future of Slovak football looks.
