When Petra Vlhová started the second round of the giant slalom in Tremblant, Canada, on Sunday, she had a lead of 1.22 seconds over the number two, Federica Brignone.
But then it started to snow heavily. The conditions worsened with each competitor. Around the middle of the second lap, some of the TV camera shots did not even show the female racers, but only colored outlines flickering in the fog. Vlhova ended in fifth place overall.
