Women’s handball team advances

Slovakia's women’s handball team has advanced to this year's European Championships in Austria, Hungary and Switzerland. In the final match of the second qualifying group, they drew with Ukraine 25:25 and earned a place on the basis of their position in the table of third place teams. This is Slovakia's first participation in the European Championship since 2014 and the third in the era of independence.
