The Slovak men's ice-hockey national team beat Kazakhstan 6:2 at the 2024 World Championship in the Czech Republic on Sunday, notching its first victory in the group stage. The Slovak team built its success on a sound performance in the first period, when Martin Pospisil, Martin Fasko-Rudas and Matus Sukel managed to score three unanswered goals. Previously, Slovakia lost their first match at the tournament, falling 4:6 to Germany. Their next match is set to take place on Monday, when they will square off against the USA.
