The Slovak national hockey team finished the group stage of the IIHF World Championships with a 6:1 loss against Sweden. Coach Craig Ramsay's men had already secured their place in the quarter finals thanks to the USA’s victory over Latvia earlier in the day. On Thursday Slovakia will play in Prague's O2 arena against the winners of the A group, Canada. The Swedes won group B without losing a game and will play against the Finns in the quarter-finals.
