Slovak athlete Laura Frličková ran a new European adolescent record in the 100 m hurdles at the U18 European Championships on Friday. Already in the heats, she achieved the top time, when she broke the previous record held by the French Cyréna Samba-Mayela since 2017.
"When I saw that the girls were significantly behind, I decided to sprint to the finish line. The original plan was that I would drop it at the end, if possible," said Frličková.
