Slovak skier Petra Vlhová announced she will not compete in the opening races of the 2024/2025 World Cup season in Sölden, Austria, as she continues her knee rehabilitation. She hopes to return to the slopes in December, having just resumed skiing in August after surgery in February. Vlhová injured her knee during a World Cup event in Jasná last January, leading to surgery in Switzerland and a lengthy rehabilitation processTeam manager Richard Galovič stated she will focus on building strength in the coming months while continuing her recovery in the gym.
