It is not a big generalisation to say that everybody in Slovakia loves ice hockey, and back in 2011, when Slovakia hosted the World Championships, the Slovak Republic was renamed to the Hockey Republic. So what is happening in the Hockey Republic these days? According to the latest poll, around 72% of hockey fans in Slovakia are dissatisfied with its current state and with the activities of the Slovak ice-hockey federation. Zuzana Botiková spoke to a man who wants to change it. Meet Richard Lintner, a former professional player and a popular public figure, as he shares his views on the future of ice hockey in Slovakia.
