The result of the the Fed Cup World Group II tie between Slovakia and Australia was decided by a doubles final, where Slovakia's Daniela Hantuchová with Jana Čepelová lost to Samantha Stosur and Casey Dellacqua 7:5, 1:6, 2:6. Stosur was the main hero of the Australian team, as she succeeded also in both singles. Slovaks will have to fight to remain in the World Group II, most probably against someone from the quartet Belgium, Ukraine, Argentina, or Taiwan.
