People over 50 can enrol to be vaccinated with the Moderna as well as Pfizer/BioNTech vaccines via the online form as of Thursday. "Those who aren't 50 yet can apply for the AstraZeneca vaccine. Currently, there's no option to choose a vaccine," stated the Health Ministry. The reason behind this move is that the Health Ministry expects to receive a large amount, namely 1.04 million, Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine doses by the end of May. At the same time, the state's vaccination capacities have grown. Meanwhile, a new, updated registration form allows those who accompany their elderly relatives to vaccination centers to be vaccinated along with them. This applies only if the accompanied elderly relative is about to receive their first shot and their companion is at least 18 years of age. Both will receive the same vaccine.
