Two low-cost air carriers have suspended a number of lines connecting Kosice with other European cities due to the coronavirus omicron variant. As Kosice airport spokeswoman Karolina Linhartova informed, Ryanair is suspending flights to Liverpool for January and flights to Warsaw, Vienna and London for February. Meanwhile, Wizzair is suspending flights to Doncaster-Sheffield until March 7, 2022. Speaking on a related note, the spokeswoman remarked that Kosice airport expects LOT Polish Airlines to resume its Kosice-Warsaw line by the end of March, and Eurowings to resume the Kosice-Dusseldorf line in mid-April.
