Slovakia has submitted another application for the recovery plan

Slovakia is submitting its third application for a payment from the EU's Recovery and Resilience Fund (RRF). This time for €815 million, caretaker Prime Minister Ludovit Odor announced on Monday. According to Deputy Prime Minister Livia Vasakova, Slovakia was the fifth EU country to submit its recovery plan on time. Slovakia will receive €2 billion, which is one third of the total allocation from the recovery plan.  As part of the third payment request, 27 milestones and targets were met in the areas of green economy, education, science, research, innovation, efficient public administration and digitalisation. Ludovid Odor pointed to stories of specific people who have already been helped by the Recovery Plan.
"Thanks to it, Pavol opened a new outpatient clinic in Zlaté Moravce. In September, teachers and pupils from 39 primary schools launched the biggest education reform in decades.
Once submitted, the application will be evaluated by the European Commission (EC) and the Economic Policy Committee (EPC). If its positive evaluation is endorsed by the Economic and Financial Committee (EFC), Slovakia will receive €709 million, the amount after pre-financing. A total of 85 calls for proposals worth €2.37 billion have been announced so far. Forty-seven calls worth €1.25 billion have been closed.
