Two of the parties in the coalition on Tuesday presented names for the ministries they are responsible for.
The day before, leader of Hlas Peter Pellegrini had said the party would put forward people who have the basic skills to hold such important positions. Here, in a nutshell, are some of the people put forward by Hlas:
Zuzana Dolinková (health): A lawyer by training, and the long-time head of the Association of Outpatient Providers (ZAP). For outpatient doctors, she negotiated contracts with insurance companies and lobbied for their interests before the state.
Peter Kmec (vice-premier for the Recovery plan): He will be responsible for contacts with the EU, to ensure that billions of euros will be paid out as part of the recovery plan. Long-time diplomat, former ambassador of the Slovak Republic to Sweden and the USA.
Erik Tomas (labour): Member of parliament since 2016, first representing Smer, then Hlas. Former journalist, spokesperson for Robert Fico.
Richard Rasi (investment): He was Deputy Prime Minister under Robert Fico responsible for Investments and Informatization. He is a doctor by training, and was also Minister of Health from 2008 til 2010.
Denisa Sakova (economy): Former deputy minister at the Ministry of the Interior of the Slovak Republic.
Matus Sutaj Estok (interior): Long time associate of Peter Pellegrini since 2016, at various ministries.
Tomas Drucker (education), former minister of the Interior and minister of Health.
