More than a quarter of under-18 minors have experience with cigarette smoking, according to a new survey among adolescents. Almost 10 percent have tried e-cigarettes or nicotine pouches.
The survey only talks about “experience” and does not say what percentage are habitual smokers. But it does note that of the heavy smokers among adults, ninety per cent started in high school.
In Slovakia, about 23 percent of people 15 years old and older smoke every day. That’s slightly more than the average of EU countries, which is 20 percent.
