V4 agrees on support for Ukraine, disagrees on means
The prime ministers of the Visegrad Four countries (Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia) agreed after their summit in Prague that the Russian aggression against Ukraine constitutes an egregious violation of international law. But there were also disagreements.
Petr Fiala, Prime Minister of Czechia and host, called the talks very long and difficult, but open and substantive.

"There is no need to hide that there are significant differences between us," he said. The Czech Republic and Poland want to continue military aid to Ukraine, while the Slovak Republic and Hungary will only provide financial and humanitarian aid.

Fico says V4  still important platform
Prime Minister Fico said afterwards the V4 will continue to be an important platform:
“Yes, we hold different opinions on some things. I'm not a believer in a military solution to the conflict in Ukraine, I believe in an immediate ceasefire, I believe in peace talks... But some years in the future, this war will come to an end. We might no longer be here by then, but the V4 format will continue to carry extraordinary importance. We will then need to respond together to challenges,“ he said.

Tusk worried about future V-4
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, who will be the next host from July, agreed that the V4 states are united by history, mutual solidarity and European values. But he is worried about its future. (TASR)
