Slovak Foreign Affairs Minister Juraj Blanar (Smer-SD) spoke on the phone with his Hungarian counterpart Peter Szijjarto concerning procedures for filing a motion over the violation of the association agreement in connection with Ukraine's suspension of the transit of Russian oil supplied to the two countries by Russian company Lukoil, TASR has learnt from the Foreign Affairs Ministry's communications department. "We agreed that we'll continue to coordinate our actions in relation to the European Commission (EC), which must first and foremost represent the interests of member states. If two states are primarily affected by Ukraine's violation of the association agreement, we would expect willingness to provide help on the EC's side all the more," said Blanar. The ministers on Monday (July 22) jointly initiated an urgent call to the European Commission in connection with the suspension of oil transit.
