Slovak President Peter Pellegrini will accept the resignation of Slovak Health Minister Zuzana Dolinková (Hlas-SD) on Thursday (10 October) afternoon. At the same time, he will appoint Kamil Šaško to the post of Slovak Health Minister.
The nomination of Šaško was announced on Wednesday by the chairman of the Hlas-SD, Matúš Šutaj Eštok. Šaško served as state secretary at the economy ministry and the government dismissed him from this position on Wednesday. According to Šutaj Eštok, Šaško will bring a combination of strategic thinking and practical skills to the post.
Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico (Smer-SD), after consultations with Šutaj Estok, submitted a proposal to the president to appoint Šaško as a member of the cabinet.
The outgoing health minister delivered her resignation to the president on Tuesday (8 October). The head of state announced that he would accept the resignation when he receives a proposal for Dolinková's successor from the prime minister.
