Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico (Smer-SD) will depart on Wednesday, October 30, to China. The main goal of this visit is to strengthen Slovak-Chinese relations and boost economic cooperation. In Beijing, Prime Minister Fico will meet with Chinese Premier Li Qiang. A plenary session will take place with Slovak and Chinese ministers and the Slovak delegation will also be received by Chinese President Xi Jinping and Parliament Chairman Zhao Leji.
The visit includes Fico opening a business forum in Beijing and visiting Gotion, a manufacturing plant in Hefei. Fico will also attend the opening of the China International Import Expo (CIIE 2024) in Shanghai with Chinese leaders and other global figures. He will inaugurate Slovakia's national booth at the expo.
