Like the Slovak Republic, Estonia has been a member of the European Union since 1 May 2004. In the same year, this Baltic country became a member of NATO, in 2007 it joined the Schengen area and since 1 January 2011 it has been the 17th member of the European Monetary Union.

"Estonia has beautiful forests. We have a thousand lakes. It is only 80 kilometres to Helsinki. We have rich history. Years ago, in Estonia there were 1500 castles and a lot of them are renovated. The prices are not high. The food is good, people are friendly, the criminality is zero. It is a good reason to come and enjoy life. It is easy to come even by car."
